New KR2 works great, 2008-09-16 23:21:42.31
By Tommy ()
This is one of the best routers that I have ever used. It doesn't seem to be affected by extreme temps as much as the KR1. I use this in a very different way than most where the router is on the roof of my car while I connect throught it with a handheld pc. Lightening quick. Very Happy with this purchase. About to order another one, keep forgetting to take it off the roof before driving off.

Way better improvement over KR1, 2009-02-23 14:03:41.073
By Dennis E. Miller ()
I used the Keyocera KR1 router for nearly a year and was about to smash it into tiny pieces with the nearest hammer. I used my tax refund to get the new KR2 and have been incredibly happy with it. This store gave me the best price I could find anywhere on the net, and they shipped the router right away. I had it in a matter of a few days! Set up was a snap, I had it secured and running in less than 30 minutes and it hasn’t failed yet. I still lose my signal from time to time, but that’s due to where I live and being a little too far outside Sprint’s broadband coverage area. The router resets faster and easier than the previous model, as well it runs smoother and has a much simpler interface. I highly recommend this product to EVDO users.

Kyocera KR2 Mobile Router, 2009-03-02 15:26:17.73
By Jon Curtis ()
This router is everything I wanted and expected. It looks like a standard router, but has slots for mobile data cards to be plugged in allowing more than one person to use the data card at one time. It take several kinds of cards, and is portable. The set up was easy and no problems were encountered, which was a big plus because I'm no computer "guru". I looked a long time to find something like this and I'm very satisfied!

3g VG, 2009-03-03 07:03:58.003

We are "Snowbirds" who spend 7 months a year in our RV at a Florida camping resort. Campgrounds often offer wireless connectivity but it has been very unreliable at our campgound. We therefore exchanged our wired internet service up North for a 3g USB modem. This amounted to an annual commitment of $720 but still it could not be used by more than one household member at a time. An additional investment in a Kyocera 3g wireless router gave us all the advantages of a home-based wireless router plus extreme portability. It was a snap to set up, and only a little more complicated to make it secure. It has been reliable and meets all of our expectations. I would expect prices to fall as it becomes more popular.

KR2, 2009-03-03 07:39:21.44
By Matt ()
I bought this to replace a KR1 that was just over a year old but failed. Wow what a change. Problems with getting kicked off line have disappeared and the speed is very good. Setup was very easy, with security being easy to enable too. If you are using EVDO go with the KR2 and forget the KR1.

I am so pleased with the purchase of this router...It works great with my PC Card that is serviced through Cellularsouth, a privately owned MS wireless company. It has a slot for just about every kind of way one would connect to the internet. The router has been on everyday, and I have no complaints..
Thanks alot for your WOWING service...I could not believe I received the product the next day...A++

Kyocera KR2 Mobile Router, 2009-07-29 11:09:02.65
By Dad (MD)
The Kyocera KR2 Mobile Router is excellent. It's very strong with no dropouts. I had the KR1 for about 3 years with no issues. It only died because of an accident, not failure. I can still use my PCMCIA verizon card and upgrade to USB later which is great! I live on a farm, so this our only internet option. My entire house is networked. My son plays WOW and Xbox Live with no issues. The KR2 does not come with a car adapter. I use the one from my KR1. Drove from Maryland to South Carolina with my wife and son streaming laptops the whole way. No drop outs. I recommend it highly.
