Encryption Software - SecureDoc Overview
With a track record of technology innovation, high security and customer service that dates back to 1997, WinMagic is in the business of data security. The SecureDoc suite of data security solutions gives you the ability to control and protect sensitive data. It provides you with the ability to rapidly and efficiently configure, deploy and manage certified, government-grade encryption to endpoints throughout the enterprise, with a wide range of complementary technology for your data security.
If your laptops or other mobile endpoints are stolen or lost, SecureDoc ensures that your sensitive data will not be exposed by employing various pre-boot authentication methodologies and encryting the mobile device with our AES-256 (FIPS 140-2) certified encryption. Port control, disk access control and powerful policy management extends that protection beyond the hard drive to USB removable media. This ensures that you remain compliant with privacy and security legislations and it assists in avoiding accidental or intentional data leakage to unencrypted media. SecureDoc is designed for end-user transparency and as such, the user experience is extremely positive, seamless and painless. Most users will not even realise that their system has been encrypted.
Encryption of one laptop can be challenging in its own right. When you have to manage hundreds (or thousands!) of encrypted devices, you need an enterprise-class administration platform that will not only scale to meet your needs, but that will also give you the ability to control policy and access at a granular level to suit your organizations needs while enabling administrators to properly support the needs of the enterprise. The SecureDoc Enterprise Server provides this powerful centralized control, with integration to Microsoft Active Directory, support of common administration tools, and its own excellent management capabilities.
What it does Protects data-at-rest on the hard drives of desktop and laptop computers.
How it works SecureDoc encrypts the entire hard drive (full-disk) on a sector-by-sector basis, and enables authentication at pre-boot to ensure maximum security.
Encryption of sensitive data is no longer optional. Legislation, regulation, and public scrutiny of data breaches make the loss of unencrypted data a disaster waiting to happen. A lost or stolen laptop is at the very least a major inconvenience and could easily escalate into a financial and public relations nightmare. You need a solution that will protect your organization quickly, reliably and at a low total cost of ownership.
Since 1997, SecureDoc solutions from WinMagic have protected data in dozens of countries by more than 3 million users worldwide. Government agencies and commercial enterprises rely upon SecureDoc to help them protect sensitive data in implementations ranging from a few dozen users to tens of thousands of users. SecureDoc works in Windows, Mac and Linux environments and integrates with a leading number of vendors to provide token, smartcard, biometric and PKI additions to strengthen authentication options and offer the best possible solution to safeguard your data.
What is SecureDoc Disk Encryption? SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption provides true full-disk encryption to laptops and PCs. Robust and “always on” AES 256 encryption is combined with a leading range of integrations for strong authentication including tokens, smartcards, biometrics and PKI. SecureDoc can be deployed as a standalone solution or can be centrally deployed from the SecureDoc Enterprise Server (SES). For the enterprise, SES simplifies deployment, reporting and administration, resulting in protection for sensitive data at a low total cost of ownership.

What's New with SecureDoc 4.91
SecureDoc is a disk encryption product suite that configures and manages everything data-at-rest (DAR) encryption related under a SecureDoc Enterprise Server (SES). Addressing the markets need to protect PII (Personal Identifiable Information) and/or sensitive data, SecureDoc provides software-based full-disk encryption (FDE: AES - 256 bit) and supports hardware based encryption technologies including Seagate Momentus drives, Opal compliant drives and self-encrypting USB thumb drives manufactured by IronKey, Sandisk, Kingston, and MXI. In addition to managing these trusted devices, SecureDoc supports Intel Anti-Theft technology in providing an overall comprehensive DAR encryption solution.
In supporting heterogeneous IT computing environments, SecureDoc encrypts “standard” hard drives, USB thumb drives, CD/DVDs, and SD cards sector by sector in addition to providing File and Folder Encryption (FFE) options. The SES configures and manages PC, Mac, and Linux clients; manages trusted devices; supports Microsoft Server 2000, 2003, Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 as well as Mac OS X Tiger and Snow Leopard.
