I'm very pleased with this drive. For me, the it's not just a secure backup drive, but my entire music library. The drive is very capacious. It's good that it allows data encryption (the software is included), additional security is very useful while traveling. I haven't encountered any problems in the two and a half months that I've been using this drive. I'm happy with everything and can definitely recommend it.

Since this unit is new, I presume that it is accurate in copying the files. The software that accompanies this product is lacking in discipline in that it hogs the compute cycles practically preventing the user from interrupting what should be a background function of backup. It is so agonizing that I simply pause the function until I get my work done.

This drive is user-friendly and well designed. I really like the rugged look and feel, and the choice of different interfaces. I use the 256-bit encryption option, it keeps my data safe. I'm also quite happy with the 10GB free cloud storage that came with the drive.

It's good to know that I have my data secure after enabling the 256-bit encryption. It doesn't matter who has access to my drive, I know that I'm the only one who can view the files. Oh and yes, it's a nice added bonus that the drive is rugged and that it comes with free cloud storage space..

Solid Drive, 2012-12-20

I needed an external drive for college assignments and thankfully I found this rugged drive. The 1TB is probably more than I need at the moment but I know that I won't have to upgrade it again in 6 months. The best bit is that the drive is rugged, and will survive everyday trips back and forth in my backpack.

I needed a portable drive to carry around my work files as well as videos and music. This is a very tough little drive, it's survived a few months of being carried around in my backpack, and it feels like it'll last for a long time. Completely happy with it.

I think this is one of the best portable drives I've ever had. It seems to be pretty rugged rugged - a metal casing inside a rubber sleeve, and the USB 3.0 transfer speeds are amazing. 1TB of storage space is enough for my needs. It works great with my PC.

My Rugged is always in my bag. I drag it all over town, and it's always there when I need it. It seems to be pretty durable. It has several layers of protection - the internal rubber bumpers, the aluminium enclosure, the external rubber bumper. Besides it looks great. Performance wise it's great too.
