The Iogear USB Theater Sound Xperience GUADT51 is a great addition to my Mac Computer. It's plug and play and you have rich surround sound that is great. I use Altec Lansing computer speakers and the iOgear Xperience makes the little speakers sound like a recording studio.
Being a Apple developer and webmaster I recommend this product to both Windows and Mac users.
The only thing is the documentation only specifies windows operating systems, but it works great on Mac's too.

Works Ok but noisy hiss, 2013-02-22

I purchased two of these on sale for my office and home computers. Having my audio come through the USB hub just makes for fewer connections when I'm moving my laptop from one place to another.
I'm using powered speakers on these in both locations, and I'm getting substantial speaker hiss when using them. I have quality speakers and wires with both - Bose computer speakers in one location and Klipsch Promedia in the other. I still thought it might be something else about my setup but when I hooked back up my relatively bulky USB Creative Xfi sound card, there is no hiss at all.
Worse yet, when I put my laptop to sleep the hiss becomes a loud hum, so I have to either unplug my Bose Companion speakers from the wall (no on/off switch) or else turn the volume down so it won't bother me.
The hiss and hum aside, this card does install easily and produce sound that is fine. It also looks pretty cool and has some fairly useful software on the Iogear website you can use....
