"List price" is the suggested retail price provided to us by our vendors. We make no representation that a substantial number of these products have been sold or offered for sale at the list price. Actual retail prices in your area may be substantially different. Since we sell products on a national basis, it is not possible to know if our merchandise is sold at list price in any particular location or at any particular time. "You Save" reflects the difference between our price and the vendor provided list price shown on our sites. Since the list price may be different than the actual retail prices in your area, you may not actually realize a savings of this amount.

Manufacturers sometimes ask that retailers not display a price if it drops below a certain amount. The "click here to see Lowest Price" message indicates that the price of the item is so low that the manufacturer requested that it not be advertised (that is, displayed). In a brick-and-mortar store, you would probably have to ask a salesperson what the price of the product is. At MacMall, by clicking on "click here to see Lowest Price" you are essentially asking to see the price, at which point we show it to you.

Free UPS Ground Shipping - Orders Over $49 (Spend over $49 & receive free UPS ground shipping (3-7 days). Promotion covers orders up to 60lbs. Excludes TVs over 42". Not available in AK & HI.)
Retail Box/License – This type of license is advisable for home and small office use. The software package includes installation disc(s), may also include printed manuals and all other documentation and are often (but not always) eligible for free tech support from the manufacturer. The software may be packed either in a large box, mini box, cardboard, plastic box, DVD case, CD jewel case or sleeve.

Easy formulas
What comes naturally to some now comes automatically to everyone. Writing formulas is easy in Numbers '09. Over 250 functions are included; just click and choose one. Along with each function is a clear explanation of the formula and built-in help. You can even assemble formulas using visual placeholders for each variable. Just click a placeholder, then choose a value to include in your formula.

Click the Formula List button in the toolbar to see the list, and then jump to a specific formula. You can also search for formulas, functions, or cell references.

Table categories
When there are large sets of data in one spreadsheet, it can be difficult to make sense of it all. With one click, you can now group rows based on data in any column and create table categories. Each category includes a summary row. Using just the summary row, it's easy to collapse, expand, and rearrange the categories. Add functions to each summary row - subtotals, averages, count, minimum, and maximum - to organize your data even more.

Linked charts
Now Numbers, Pages, and Keynote work together to keep all your data on the same page. Create charts in Numbers and paste them into Pages documents or Keynote presentations. They'll stay linked to the original data in Numbers. Even if the chart styles, textures, colors, and fonts are different, the data is the same. When you make a change to your data, update your linked charts with a click. In Pages and Keynote, you can easily access your original Numbers document or unlink the data at any time.

iwork, 2009-02-10 04:28:55.447
By Ichhabra (NY)
I am a recent convert to the Mac. I had downloaded the free Open Office suite for my office work. It is very similar to MS Office 2003 in its layout. But is is clunky and looks jaded, especially for presentations. Then I looked at iwork '09. Downloaded a trial version for free and took a peek. It did not disappoint. The layout is minimalist. The templates are just what you need for office work. I am working on a presentation for a new contract, and it has worked out fabulously for now. Sure, coming from MS world, there is a learning curve, but it teaches me new ways to do things, with the inspector, with the drawers, everything is intuitive. And of course, since it is by Apple, the results are better eye candy than anything else I created, since I am not the creative type. The icing on the cake is iwork.com. It is a way to share your work with your team. They can add comments of their own and download a version that suits them, pdf, iwork or MS. If only they would allow editing on the...

Feels great. Looks great., 2009-02-02 18:17:38.723
By Jedi (CA)
Three programs come in this package: Pages, your word processing software, counterpart to MS office’s Word. Numbers, counter part to MS Office’s Excel. And Keynote, counter part to Office’s Power point. As a MS Office user by day (at work) and Mac user by night (at home) I can say that iWork does a bang up job at providing intuitive tools to make my word processing life much easier. Not only are the interfaces full of eye candy, but navigation is a cinch, as is file conversion. You can even export and save files between iWork programs and Office programs without any trouble, so double dipping users like me can benefit from using both iWork and Office.

Excellent Product Thus Far, 2009-06-09 20:48:57.593
By Janeway (AR)
I've really only gotten into Pages, so I can't attest to either Numbers or Keynote, but from what I can tell, Pages seems to be far superior to Microsoft Word. Having used Word for years, Pages has taken some getting used to, but it's very user friendly and appears to be able to do anything but wash your car. And the fact that it can import Word documents and convert its own files to Word documents is fantastic -- definitely something Word can't do. All in all, I'm most impressed.

iWorks, 2010-06-10 07:02:36.23
By Doug ()
I have found this software to be very limited and not even close to Microsoft Office. After using iWorks for 4 months, I bought Office and have been using it ever since. The cost was within $20 of each other and well worth the price to upgrade.

iWork Software Review, 2009-12-10 17:13:58.933
By Larry Young ()
I recently switched to a Mac after 25+ years of PC's and MS Office. I am having somewhat a difficult time with the numbers program when I save a document as an Excel file as some of the formatting goes astray, especially some of the graphics. Overall, the program works good, I just need to learn it. Saving any document as a Numbers file gives no problem whatsoever. I'm very pleased with the program overall!
