Featuring 3TB of internal storage space, the G-Drive is capable of storing up to 3,000 high-definition videos and movies, 430,000 high-bitrate songs, and 750,000 photos in a very good resolution. This G-Technology drive will let you back up a large number of your personal files faster. Because of this, the 3TB data storage from G-Tech is perfect for media professionals.

For compatibility, the G-Drive has USB 3.0 and 2.0, as well as FireWire 800 I/O so you can transfer your files in a rate of up to 165 Mb/s. For cache, this G-Drive in 3TB has high-performance 7200 RPM SATA III with up to 64MB cache. This G-Drive is also compatible and ready-to-use with Apple's Time Machine.

Professional External Hard Drive

Featuring USB 3.0 and Firewire 800 interfaces, it is automatically detected by your Mac for plug-and-play flexibility and can be used to store large files, or to back-up entire systems through Time Machine. Its interfaces are also backward compatible with USB 2.0 and Firewire 400. With up to 16 customizable partitions, you can tailor the storage to your specific needs. It comes preformatted with HFS+ with Journaling and can be reformatted to work with Windows operating systems.

Sporting a sleek minimalist design, the G-Drive has a brushed aluminum housing, with a built-in heat sink on bottom. Using the heat sink to cool the drive eliminates the need for fans, allowing it to stay cool while running silently.
