While most people swear by the felt and plastic nibs because they feel they’re the most pencil like of all the nibs available, but I disagree. The resistance people feel is nothing like a pencil with either. The plastic one feels nice for a few days until the flat spot appears and then good luck. Turn it around to wear it evenly and it begins to catch on the tablet surface and scratch it. The felt one is very scratchy in every way all the time and looking at most peoples’ tablet surfaces who use the felt nibs you will notice it’s all scratched up or extremely slick looking because the coating has been worn away.<br><br>The Flex Nib is a smooth and slick rubber that literally glides across the surface and doesn’t mar the tablet surface in any way. It also lasts a little longer than other nibs and with me using it every single day, I find I’ll go through 5-7 per year. Just the best thing Wacom has ever designed for the tablet.<br><br>I ordered 2 packs of Flex nibs with my new iMac and I should be set for close to 2 years.
