An integrated power management system, utilized by one push of a button, tells you what is going on inside the cart, by way of LED light indicators, and it does the thinking for you by monitoring the computer power needs and sending the power where it is needed most. The power management system also reduces the power charge as the computers near their full charge so your batteries will last longer. Power cycles through the computers during charging to keep them cooler, and the cart is fully ventilated to circulate more air. Power adapters are organized in the rear, held in place by velcro straps and everything is labeled to make it easy to access, use and inventory. Three full width interior shelves each support up to 14 netbook computers, stored vertically, for a total of 42 computers in the NETBOOK42 cart. Steel dividers with holes allow for greater air circulation through the cart and separate the computers. The back panel of the netbook storage area features holes for the power cables stored in the rear Power Adapter Cable Closet to reach each computer. Each netbook space is marked with a laser-cut number that corresponds with a power adapter cord slot and electrical outlet in the rear. The Power Adapter Cable Closet is separated from the netbook computers by a steel panel, which serves as an insulator to reduce the amount of heat produced by the power adapters from reaching the netbook computers and keeping them cooler. The front doors to the netbook storage secure with a user-programmable combination lock, included. A 1 amp electrical outlet is located inside the Cable Closet to provide power to a wireless router. Power is controlled by the on/off switch on the Power Management System monument and the outlet is always powered regardless of the power mode selection.
