Imation expands on its storage portfolio offering significant improvements over prior tape generations. A single LTO 5 tape cartridge features 1.5 terabytes of native capacity (3.0 terabytes compressed) with data transfer rates of up to 280MB/second. The design reflects the features of previous generation while adding new features such as partitioning, to enable additional file control and efficiencies in space management.
