With a lithium polymer battery on your MacBook device, this 60 watt Magsafe MC461LL/A Power Adapter efficiently charges in any power mode û whether the system is off, on, or in sleep mode. If you want to prolong your battery's life span, you can always remove it from the MacBook and let the Power Adapter operate it.

Featuring a magnetic connector, the 60w Apple Power Adapter is designed to disconnect your power cable if it strains. This feature prevents weakening or fraying of the cable over time. The magnetic connector also allows users to easily and safely connect the adapter to your MacBook so you can continue your work without too much hassle.

Indicated by the amber-colored LED light at the tip of the magnetic DC connecter, it lets you know that your MacBook is safely charging. Once it turns into green light, it means that the device has been fully charged and ready to be portable.

The 60 Watt MagSafe Power Adapter features a magnetic DC connector that ensures your power cable will disconnect if it experiences undue strain and helps prevent fraying or weakening of the cables over time. When the connection is secure, an LED located at the head of the DC connector will light; an amber light lets you know that your portable is charging, while a green light tells you that you have a full charge. Flimsy wiring

As with all mac designs, it works. The downside is that the wiring from the transformer module to the macbook is flimsy. I just bought my third one in slightly less than seven years. I know that the magnetic breakaway feature is good. There should be some kind of stiffening beyond what is provided. This is a computer I take everywhere: land, sea and air. I love the computer, but the power adapter needs improvement.

Power Cord

When my power cord stopped working I was nearing the end of my second semester of grad school. I was terrified that I would not be able to finish my final paper as my laptop would suddenly no longer charge. Thankfully, this store had just the power cord I needed and free 2-3 day shipping. I got my power cord quickly and was able to finish my paper. Thank you!

Apple gouging

So tired of over paying for mac products. Did he intend for them to be disposable?? Can’t do much without a charger so when my charger fell to pieces as I understand from friends who have the same laptop is often the case with these chargers I was forced to buy a new one. Not a fun purchase. No fault on the part of the store, though.
