Excellent for every computing need while travelling
This machine is just amazing. It’s been three months now since I got the MacBook Air from MacMall and I still couldn’t get over the feeling of awe for this very beautiful computer. I almost could not put it down. Heck, it has even replaced our home desktop, to a considerable degree, as my primary computer. I use the Air for everything else, and just go to the desktop when I play Halo and WoW.
The real wonder of the Air is its portability. It’s very mobile: It has sleek design, is light, and has dependable battery life. I could use it on airport lobbies like I’m opening a smartphone. Actually, because of the flash storage used on iPhones and MacBook Airs, both devices enjoy an instant-on capability.
My only downside is the screen. At 11 inches it is sometimes too small for my big hands. I would have invested on the 13-inch model instead had I known that the Air would be this lovely. But, oh well. So if you really want a mobile computer that will give you portable computing at its finest, go for the 13-incher. I give this 11-inch MacBook Air a 5-Star all the same because I’m still pretty satisfied with it.

11.6" MacBook Air dual-core Intel Core i5: Awesome thus far!
I bought this as a replacement for my wife who'd been using a 13" white MacBook, circa late 2007. BTW, that machine is still in great shape, runs Lion just fine, and we're keeping it as mobile machine for the kids.
The Air is, of course, incredibly lightweight, starts, sleeps, wakes and shuts down fast due to the SSD. The runtime (battery) is as advertised. The screen is decent (though the viewing angles are not as wide as the MBP's, it seems). I'm a developer so I put Xcode on it to see how it would fare. I was happy with compile times on various projects and can definitely see using it for most of my work.
My wife was more than happy with the older MacBook, but she seems to carry the Air around the house a little more than her old one. I almost bought one for myself (with the i7 option) to replace my 15" MBP, but decided at the last second to wait until Ivy Bridge-based mobiles ship this year - I want to have OpenCL support which the current integrated video chip does not support.
Though it wasn't for me, we are both very happy with the machine and I highly recommend it, especially versus Windows-based ultrabooks that, while far better than before, still lack the most crucial element of all OSX.

MacBook Air: A Computer Worth Every Penny
This is by far the prettiest notebook I have ever used. It is light and thin. It is solid and ergonomically sound. I love the design as much as the Mac OS and the hardware. Its 13 inches of screen real estate is amazing. If you ask me, every inch of the MacBook Air is worth every penny that you will use to buy it.
It’s been a month since MacMall shipped my MacBook Air and I must tell you that I haven’t had the inclination to use the home desktop I’ve had for three years. Call the MacBook Air my new favorite, but I don’t see it changing anytime soon. There’s just too much convenience having this kind of computing power in a very portable and accessible form factor.
If I could change one thing about the Air, I would add a couple of USB ports. Seeing that there’s no disc drive, it would have been better if the Air has a couple more ports for thumb drives. You could get a USB hub, I guess, but that wouldn’t be nice and practical to carry around.
The Mac OS is a whole new environment for me and I love it. Everything seems to work the way I wanted a computer to work. The full screen mode is very nice. The dashboard makes organizing really easy.
Everyone should have a notebook this advance. And now everyone can.
Travelling light has never looked this good. At 2.9 pounds for the 13-inch model and an impressive 2.3 pounds for the new 11-inch model, and both less than an inch thin, the MacBook Air has been precision engineered for the mobile wireless world. Travelling lighter, and thinner than any other notebook on the planet, the new MacBook Air is designed with a fast architecture, advanced integrated graphics, vibrant display, full size keyboard, and over sized track pad. The MacBook Air redefines the world of wireless mobile notebooks.
Still the world’s thinnest notebook. The MacBook Air is still ultrathin and ultraportable, but now with all-flash storage, glass Multi-Touch trackpad, and a FaceTime camera.
Advanced Intel HD graphics graphics and longer battery life. The MacBook Air offers next generation graphics, Intel HD Graphics 3000 perfect for graphics-intensive applications. The 11-inch model lasts up to 5 hours and the 13-inch MacBook Air has been upgraded to stay up to 7 hours of work and play.
More space for your stuff. Up to 128GB and 256GB of flash storage for the 11-inch and 13-inch models, respectively, the new MacBook Air lets you store more documents and still have room for music, photos, and movies. Light doesn’t mean empty when it comes to the MacBook Air.
LED-backlit display. The 1280-by-800 LED-backlit display gives you vibrant images and rich colors. The power-efficient LED technology also conserves battery life. Light weight dimensions, heavy weight images and graphics, the MacBook Air delivers on the go.
