Apple iPod nano 16GB Green (7th Generation)

I have an older iPod nano (2GB) that is starting to feel its age. I read an article that the writer felt that Apple was not going to continue the iPod line, so that was my motivation. The Nano is excellent and fast, easy to use and sound is so much better, the size and memory are excellent. At 16GB, it has the same memory as my iPad. This Nano is a gem!

Great running buddy

I got this iPod nano because it integrates Nike Fitness features. I’d just started running regularly and I love how well this iPod’s Nike Fitness features work. It records my runs quite accurately and it lets me select run records based on time, distance, or calorie count. If I want an update on the distance I’ve covered while running, a voice briefly interrupts playback to tell me how far I’ve run. This is extremely useful since pressing the sleep button at the top of the player while running can be a little difficult, especially if the iPod is in your pocket. This feature also allows me to run on far more trails and tracks, even those whose lengths I don’t know, since it’ll keep track of my run distance anyway.

Fair warning, you’ll probably have to do some calibration after the first time you use Nike Fitness on the iPod nano. This makes the iPod more accurate at tracking your run distances and times. The good news is that calibrating the iPod’s Nike Fitness features is a relatively straightforward process, so even ‘technologically challenged’ individuals should be able to do it.

Great touchscreen display – new iPod nano

The 7th-generation iPod nano is my first mp3 player with a touchscreen, and for that, I think it just might be my favorite. The touchscreen makes using this iPod very intuitive, and it’s a big help that the display is very responsive. I didn’t expect the touchscreen to come in so handy for browsing through my albums. I’d previously been able to do that only on iTunes. Granted that the screen isn’t really very big, but the iPod nano is primarily a music player, and how big a screen do you really need for listening to music? Personally, the screen is big enough for viewing album art, photos and short videos.

Aside from the touchscreen features, the 7th-gen iPod nano’s biggest pros for me are its Bluetooth capabilities and the built-in radio’s Live Pause. I didn’t really think Live Pause would work, and it was pretty cool for me to be able to pause live radio broadcasts. The rewind, pause, and fast-forward options on the radio work amazingly. I managed to sync my Bluetooth headphones and speakers with the iPod on my first try, so I can work out without wires getting caught in my free weights.

Good build and convenient touchscreen

I’ve had the 5th generation iPod nano for a couple of years now, and the touchscreen feature was a nice upgrade on the 6th-generation iPod nano, but I felt like that particular model was too small for me. So I was pretty psyched to see that the newest iPod nano was not only bigger but also thinner and lighter.

Admittedly it looked a little too thin and fragile for me, so I was relieved to find out that it felt very solid and stable in my hand when it was delivered to my house (on time and in perfect addition, I might add). The touchscreen was everything I expected, it’s quick and responsive and browsing through my albums is a breeze. It also fits quite nicely in my pocket, so running errands is somewhat more enjoyable for me now.

Nice mp3 player

My daughter told me to choose an mp3 player and she'd buy it online, so I chose this one. I don't know much about how storage space for music players works, but I guess this offers a decent amount, since all the songs I like fit on it. I like how easy it is to transfer songs onto this iPod. I’ve been using it with the iTunes program for a couple of weeks now, and I haven’t run into any problems yet. My daughter also put in a few photos of my grandkids, so I enjoy looking at those and showing them to my friends when I’m out in the neighborhood.

I also like how thin and light this iPod is, so I can easily slip it into my pocket and listen to music when I’m cleaning around the house. This iPod even lets me listen to audio books, which has become a favorite pastime of mine.

7th generation iPod nano - great mp3 player

The 7th generation iPod nano has been a great mp3 player for me so far. Many of my friends say that 16 GB of storage isn’t really that big, but personally that isn’t a major problem for me. I listen to only a few bands and artists and all the songs and albums I want to listen to fit into my iPod nano, with storage space to spare. The touchscreen comes in really handy when I’m navigating through my music library and I want to browse between albums. The earphones were surprisingly comfortable, too, and I didn’t realize how uncomfortable my old earphones have been.

One of the things I love about the 7th generation iPod nano is that it has built-in Bluetooth 4.0. This allows me to sync my iPod with my car’s sound system in a matter of minutes, so I can enjoy listening to my iPod when I’m out driving. This iPod’s display isn’t really all that big, so I rarely watch videos on my iPod, but the display does come in handy when viewing the photos I have stored on my device.

7th-generation 16gb iPod nano

I had my eye on other mp3 players with similar features, but the 7th-generation iPod nano’s touch-enabled screen was too cool to resist. I’m pleasantly surprised by how much I’m enjoying this iPod. The screen is very responsive and intuitive, and the Home button is handy for when I get lost navigating albums. The audio quality is quite impressive, too, and I like that the earpods fit right into my ears. This makes hours of listening to music more comfortable.

The iPod nano’s built-in Nike+ support and pedometer are a nice bonus for me, too. I got a nice surprise during my first run with my iPod nano when playback suddenly paused and a female voice informed me of the distance I covered. These features come in really handy when I want to track the distance I cover during my jogs and my exact run times. Syncing to nikeplus.com was hassle-free, so this iPod really makes for a nifty workout gadget.

iPod nano

Purchased my iPod a couple of weeks ago and am delighted with it. For a 70+ year old, the learning curve went quite quickly. Connecting it with the provided USB cable to my Macbook, I found that all the audio on my computer was synced very simply and quickly. That included an audio book with illustrations and chapter titles that I could go to just flicking a finger on the screen of the nano.

The earbuds could use some upgrading as they don’t hang in my ears as do other earbuds I use with my cell phone. The sound quality falls short too, unless I hold them up to the ear canals. I listen mostly through my vehicle radio and the sound is great.

So far the battery seems to last a long time provided you keep the screen turned off as much as possible. Although I’ve just tried out the radio, not doing extensive listening, it seems to be excellent in operation and quality also.

I’m well pleased with the purchase. The order for my iPod was processed and I received it very quickly. The store did great on that part.

An awesome little device

Got this over an iPod shuffle both because of the extra space as well as the Nike+ capability. The iPod touch doesn’t fit the bill because although it can also run Nike+, it’s just too big for running and carry with me during workouts. I got the nano instead because it is small, with big storage, and it has the workout app that is compatible with the shoes I’m using.

Overall I’m very pleased with the device. It is inconspicuous yet accessible. Thanks to the nano’s clip, I could hook it up the sleeves of my shirt and just forget about it. At the same time I could control the songs easily via the device. So even if I didn’t buy a separate earphone with inline remote, I could still manage the songs in the unit because of the ease by which one can carry this iPod.

Also, I like the fact that I could use this device similar to those keychains that double up as a digital frame. Have seen one of those, I forgot the brand. I thought it was cool, being able to carry your photos. I found a use for that in the iPod nano. I wasn’t expecting it and the iPod nano was not being advertised as such. But it’s extra functionality that is free and I’ll take it.

Excellent. Overall this is a good deal for an iPod nano

A music player, a watch, a photo viewer, all in one device! The nano is made even sweeter with the deal I got from MacMall. I got it from a promo they had last BF and it’s considerably cheaper from the Apple price.

This being my first time to buy from MacMall, I browsed through their site and confirmed from their customer service that the iPod nano, as with all the Apple products they have, comes with full warranty and return rights. I was sold. It’s a no-brainer that I should buy from here.

The nano comes on time as promised. It has the engraving I asked and it was followed nicely. I got a pink one and I love it. Now, the husband wants a nano, too. A blue one. He ordered one a couple of days ago, without the BF deal though.

As for the device, it’s what you would expect from Apple: well-designed, intuitive, although a bit on the high price point. It’s definitely worth every dollar because I found that I’m using it most of the time. I use it on my commute, play it from the old dock we have in the house, and even carry it as keychain to bring family photos.

All-improved iPod nano

I've loved using my 4th generation iPod nano for years, and when I saw this great price on the 7th generation iPod nano, I couldn't resist the upgrade. I love the much bigger touchscreen, it makes scrolling through my mp3 albums and photos so much easier. Of course, the click wheel is gone, but I don't miss it at all - the home button works great for bringing me back to the home screen and play/pause functions are quite niftily integrated into the volume control buttons. One huge upgrade that I'm really enjoying is this iPod nano's Bluetooth capabilities. Now I can hook up my iPod to my car's sound system without the hassle of using cables or docks.

Great customer service

I bought this a few weeks ago and at first I was having trouble with it. It would seem to turn off every few seconds or so. I contacted customer service who sent me a mailing label to ship it back, then I tried another pair of headphones - and it turns out that was the problem, not the iPod itself. Nonetheless, appreciated the quick response from customer service! Great purchase and I'm really enjoying it!

I have used the Nano with the wheel and the shuffle. But this Nano is so much improved that I was shocked. It holds all my photos and not just one folder full. Touch screen is excellent too. The clip on function makes it easy to use while using gym equipment or walking. The radio antenna is excellent. Apple finally got it right!
