7th-gen iPod classic – still the best for me

This is actually the second 7th-generation iPod classic I’ve owned. I bought my first iPod classic a couple of months after its release in 2009, and unfortunately, a month ago, that iPod managed to break into pieces after I accidentally dropped it down the stairs and out our front door. I loved that iPod so much that I decided to buy another iPod classic just like it as a replacement.

I was able to sync my iTunes library to my new iPod quite easily, so it was ready to use after a couple of hours of syncing. I like that Clickwheel remains as easy to use as it was back in 2009. Not much has changed in terms of the iPod’s appearance, but I don’t really mind. Personally, this iPod classic looks sleek enough for me and I love that it really feels solid and sturdy in my hand.

Battery life is also as great as I remembered. I connected my new iPod to a jack on my car and after quite a long drive in heavy traffic, I didn’t even manage to use up a tenth of the battery. All in all, this is the ideal iPod for people who consider storage space and battery life more important than looks.

160GB seventh generation iPod classic

The seventh-generation iPod classic is the perfect mp3 player for people like me, who prioritize storage space above everything else. I’d been looking for an mp3 player that wouldn’t require me to ‘weed out’ my music library, and I was happy to learn that the iPod classic would let me transfer every song on my computer to its library. I was glad to fork over more money than I’d anticipated for this amount of storage space. Completely transferring my songs via iTunes took a couple of hours, which was a couple of hours quicker than I expected.

Audio quality is topnotch, though volume levels seem to be inconsistent sometimes. This iPod classic is also quite pleasing to the eye. I got the black model and it looks sleek and well-designed. The device feels solidly built too so I can get a good grip on it without worrying about doing some internal damage. I’d read some reviews online about album art not being completely synced for every song in the library, but I haven’t observed this on my iPod.

Amazing storage space

I have tens of thousands songs on my iTunes library and leaving them all at home isn’t really an option I’d like to consider. So the first thing I look at in an mp3 player is its storage capacity, especially since I love travelling and my music library is something that I want to take with me wherever I go.

So I was happy to fork over a couple hundred dollars for 160 GB of storage space from my new iPod classic. It took me almost an hour to transfer my entire library to the iPod but the wait was well worth it. And the battery life is an amazing bonus, too. I can continuously listen to the music on my iPod for more than 24 hours without needing to recharge it. I don’t mind at all that this iPod is “chunky” and a little heavier compared to other iPods. There’s plenty of room for it in my large purse.

Great iPod, great service

Got this iPod classic as an anniversary gift for my husband, who has a monster of a music library and was complaining that his current music player can’t hold it all. He looked so happy when this was delivered to our house, and he immediately fired up iTunes and set to work transferring his library to his new iPod classic.

He says he’s enjoying the Genius feature and the battery life. I’m pretty impressed with the battery life, too, since I have to plug in his iPod only once or twice every two weeks, even after he uses it for hours on end. He rarely plays the pre-installed games, but I spend quite a lot of time trying to beat the Vortex and iQuiz games.

Great service from this store, too. The iPod was delivered on time and the engraving looks perfect. Looking forward to shopping in this store again.

Two thumbs up

I got this iPod classic a month ago as a gift from my fiancée and I couldn’t be happier with it (she even got it engraved, which was pretty sweet). It’s got 160 GB of storage space, which is more than enough for my 100 GB music library. I’ve even got some storage space left over if I want to add more music to my iPod or if I want to use my iPod as an external hard drive.

Sure, it’s a lot bulkier than other iPods, but if that’s the price I have to pay for the storage space, I don’t mind. The iPod’s larger design lets me get a better handle on it too, so I’m less likely to drop it (something I unfortunately do with smaller devices like my phone). And the battery life can’t be beat. I typically charge my iPod about once a week, though I use it almost every day on the commute to and from the office.

All in all, this is a great, sturdy mp3 player for people who have large music libraries that they always want to take with them.

iPod classic: unrivaled storage space for music

There’s a reason why it’s called an iPod classic – in my opinion, no other mp3 player can offer that combination of huge storage space and reliability. My current music library contains over 15,000 songs, and I don’t have the time or the energy to take on the huge task of updating it, so I grabbed the chance to get a 160GB 7th-gen iPod classic. This holds my music library quite nicely with storage space to spare. I love that I can take my entire music library wherever I go.

I also love that the iPod classic has a click wheel instead of a touch screen. This means I won’t have to worry about damaging the screen too soon. This mp3 player also feels great in hand. Its large size definitely makes it easier to grip and more difficult to drop, which is a huge plus for clumsy people like me.

iPod classic 160GB review

This is by far the most spacious iPod there is. It has a roomy 160GB of digital space. It fits all my music and photo collection easily. For the video, only the choice ones make it to my iPod classic because of the space constraints. I find no problem with it though. Movies are best watched in my HDTV anyway.

The iPod classic storage is not flash, but I find nothing wrong with it. I believe flash is appropriate if you have an advanced OS like the iOS is nowadays. For simple tasks like music/movie/photo slideshow, the iPod classic hard drive is the most economical and most appropriate because you get to use more space at a low price. Also, I must say, the OS takes up little space unlike in other iPod like the touch and the nano.

As for the design, it’s amazing how “in” the iPod classic still is in the looks department. Perhaps you notice how dated some gadgets look like. You can easily identify from what year a product comes from just by looking at the design. The white MacBooks are one of those gadgets. The iPod classic remains good-looking, at least as far as I’m concerned. Well, to each his own, I guess.

Review of purchased iPod classic

The iPod classic is okay. It’s still solid in terms of design and capabilities despite the plethora of iPods that Apple has released ever since. Now they have multi-touch, flash storage, etc. But if you need a dependable iPod that has big capacity and long battery life, the iPod classic is a good choice.

Aside from storage, there’s really not much to say about the iPod classic. That’s its main value proposition. It has Genius and Playlist, like the later models of iPods like the nano, shuffle and touch. You can play games but, if you have used an iPod touch or iPad to play games, better not try the classic for such purpose because you’d only be disappointed; or not, if you miss classic games that you can play using the iPod classic.

I’d recommend this for those who have a considerable amount of media files that they want to access all the time. I’m a fan of YouTube videos. I have a hundred or so of downloaded YouTube videos that I want to watch whenever I felt like it. It’s about 10MB each vid, if it’s really good quality. So the iPod classic got it covered with still plenty of room for audio files and photos.

iPod classic still has it

It’s awesome how a four-year-old technology can still do what it does better than other latest products. With the advent of the App Store, the iPod classic may not be relevant right now. It can’t play apps and it can’t surf the Web. But it does what it does, and in doing this it is the best! It has a big, high-capacity storage. It is not flash-based but it does hold and play your digital files really well. This is the main reason I bought a classic that any of those flash-based iPods. This has the biggest capacity of them all.

For anyone who is still on the fence about what iPod they should get, consider the iPod classic. If all that you will require is music playing, you won’t be disappointed in this.

Classic iPod still got it

The iPod classic is a fine example of an excellent digital player. Personally, this device is unbeatable in terms of storage capacity, which is crucial since I don't have the time nor the desire to wade through the 9000+ songs in my library to make my music fit on the device. After my music library, it even had enough space to allow me to load it up with around a hundred photos. The screen may be a little small, but I use this mainly as an mp3 player, anyway. I also love that I can really grip this device in my hand without fear of scratching or dropping it. If I had a complaint, it would be that I had to replace the earphones within a couple of months of purchase. Still a small price to pay for its functionality.

IPod Classic

This is my 2nd IPod Classic. Was in an accident and IPod flew through the car. It worked for a little while after accident and then started having issues. I ordered a new one and have had no issues. Have bought last 2 IPods from here and have always been very pleased with their service. Love the Classic. Easy to use.

Still a good buy

This is my second iPod classic, and I have been very satisfied with both. All I want is a way to take music and other recorded material, including photographs, with me and access them without having an Internet connection, and the 180G capacity of the classic provides that. I would recommend this product to anyone with a large music library.

New to the IPod world; now I'm wondering why I waited so long to get one. This is an amazing machine! I purchased the 160 gb classic, loaded my entire music library on it so I could enjoy my music in my car as well as at home. This product puts every tune at my fingertips and solves the problem of carrying and caring for cd's. Love this product!

Apple iPod Classic 6th gen.

Excellent for music, and audio books. video sound O.K. the screen size too small. Not much for watching video unless you have good eyesight and a magnifier. Only improvement needed is to make the viewing screen larger. Price was reasonable. Storage space excellent Have purchased several items from this store and service has been very good. Would not hesitate to order from them again.
