Trend Micro emphasizes ease-of-use and value. Offering Perpetual licenses, customers can take advantage of a transactional program which means that the customers are not required to sing long term agreements. Customers can obtain deeper discounts as more licenses are purchased and competitive trade-in options are available.
This Licensing program has four major categories that are defined by customer type.
  • Standard - Any Commercial accounts.
  • Academic/Non profit - Accredited schools, hospitals and not for profit organizations.
  • State and Local Government - Chartered state and local government agencies.
  • Federal Accounts - Any federal government agency, or other agencies authorized by the federal government to purchase using federal contracts.

    All Academic/Government accounts receive a larger discount, they receive 25% off the standard price.

Trend Micro Licensing for Enterprise Products:

All enterprise software products are licensed by user. A user is an employee or independent consultant who use a computer to perform work for the customer.
Trend Micro Licensing for SMB Solutions:

Trend Micro SMB solutions include the Client/Server suite SMB, Client/Server/Messaging suite SMB, and Interscan Viruswall for SMB. All initial and re order purchases have a minimum of 5 user licenses.

Maintenance Agreement:

Maintenance support is included in the initial purchase of product licenses and consist of the following:
  • Pattern file updates for one year
  • Pattern upgrades
  • Product Upgrades
  • Technical Support (phone and online)
Maintenance is due every 12 months from the original purchase date. The cost to the customer is about 30% of the suggested retail price.

Offers unlimited access to Trend Micro’s Technical support team via phone and email for all products with 1000 users or less- that means during off-hours an holidays as well! This program can be added to current SMB product licenses and cal also be sold separately to customers purchasing new SMB products.
