Having been thrilled now for two year with my 13" Macbook Air, I bought this 11" one for my wife. She is thrilled with the ultralight, compact, and cooler running machine (compared to her old HP laptop). She likes using it unplugged since it has an all-evening battery life and prefers this by far to a tablet since it has a real keyboard that is back-lit for easy use in low light. It is almost as small and light as a tablet and provides much greater functionality. Much easier for her to take with her on the occasions she wants to. A very nice machine and a great price from this store!

Everything loads instantly. Laptop barely gets warm during use, stays quite cold to the touch if I'm just web browsing. Fan doesn't even turn on unless I run a game or 1080 video, and when it does, it's almost silent. Screen is beautiful and retina support is pretty widespread now. The best laptop I've ever had for sure. 8GB of ram is plenty, unless you're doing video editing. I haven't even come close to maxing out yet, and with the crazy fast SSD I imagine the hard drive cache will be very good anyway.

Fast, light, easy to use
I've always used PCs, but when my Dell laptop died suddenly, I decided to go with the Mac Air after seeing one owned by my brother. Two of our adult children have Mac laptops and they are very happy with them. They both commented on the battery life and excellent performance. I found it easy to make the transition. There are differences, some of which are mildly annoying, others of which are changes for the better. For example, I like being able to access my mail separately from my web browser. I know Windows has Outlook Express, but in all the years I've had PCs (I have a PC desktop) I have never been able to configure it. I like how fast my laptop opens. I use Photoshop Elements and unfortunately at least one feature isn't usable in their Mac version, but it's a very minor issue. I have had no difficulty relearning the shortcuts. I love the light weight of the computer. It doesn't have a CD/DVD drive so I bought the external drive from Samsung so that I can add some programs. As a small 64-year-old woman, light weight is important to me. The battery life is great. I never used my old laptop without the power cord as the battery only lasted about 2 1/2 hours. The MacBook Air allowed me to use my computer for hours without having to plug it in to a power source.

My last Mac was a MacBook Pro 13, which I liked very much. This is my first MacBook Air. At first, my plan was to purchase the Air with the I7 processor. Instead, I increased the memory and went with i5, because of heat concerns. Since I have had the computer for just a few weeks, these are my limited observations as compared to previous computers: Very fast, great battery (about 10 hours plus) and I like the USB on both sides instead of along side of each other; easy to take on a trip because of lightness and the terrific battery. My first impression is that the wifi speed is faster. All in all I am happy with the MacBook Air and the purchase experience at this store.

Fantastic lightweight little machine!
Just bought the MBA 13" and it turned on and ready in just seconds! Something that makes me almost spew blood out of my throat waiting for my old HP Windows 7 that takes almost forever to the ready state. I put away that thing in my old collectible or maybe will just sell it for $50 or $100 bucks for a small offset.
The lightweight feature enables me to carry it around like a tablet. The multi gesture on its trackpad is a real wonder, making a touchscreen feature an unnecessary thing (no, you don’t want to make your computer screen dirty and it’s a computer not a tablet). The graphic screen is also another wonder, it is sharp, bright and crisp! Wonder what it will be if it was a retina? Long battery life is really convincing me to work on this thing without the cable clinging to it all the time, the feel is a huge different thing and surprisingly it is so good!
Migrating files from my other old MacBook Pro worried me the first time. I finally found out that I can migrate the files without even a single piece of tool like cables, hard drive or CD needed! All was done so perfectly with wireless connection! It was just like a magic cloning a soul of one machine on to another! Wonder if there are many other people who didn’t know about this or it was just me?
The improved 128GB Solid State Drive making this thing works like an ant, completely noiseless, so silent! Eyeing on to the 2TB wireless time machine to backup my files but have to wait to adjust my exhausted budget from buying this MBA. Overall I am very excited, proud and happy to let people know that I have just purchased the greatest machine ever made, and it’s a 13" MacBook Air! Thanks Apple, and thanks to this store!

I am a happy convert from PC to Mac
This is a great deal. The store staff was very helpful in my purchase. This MacBook Pro is super fast and easy to adapt to from my 20+ years of Widows use. It was a huge leap for me spending the money on this, but as one other customer put it: should have bought one sooner. I recently tried out a laptop for 3 weeks with Widows 8 and the operating system was beyond frustrating. I look forward to using this Macbook and learning about this OS. The screen is awesome on this. No glare whatsoever! It runs very cool and is virtually soundless. It feels very sturdy although I wouldn’t want to drop it without protection. The lighted keyboard is a huge bonus. I will shop again at this store.

MacBook Air 2013
Ordered this with all of the best bells and whistles the day it was released. Apple Insider had a $50 off promo code plus no sales tax meant almost $200 off. Had to wait about 10 days for back order due to the special order nature of my build but it shipped to me the same day they received it. Well worth the wait! This machine is fast, light, and did I mention FAST. Everything exactly as ordered: Core I7, 250gb SSD, 8 GB ram, 802.11 AC . My savings from this store allowed me to upgrade my AirPort Extreme to 802.11 AC also. Best deal on the planet! Bride uses this to trade stock all day with no recharge. She couldn’t be happier!

2013 MacBook Air
The MacBook Air itself is a fantastic product. Apple delivered on long battery life specs.
This store informed me when I ordered that the 8gb model would be back-ordered a week. 3-4 days later, I got a phone call from them apologizing for the delay. The store upgraded my 2 day shipping to overnight, at no additional cost.
So I ordered on a Friday, and received the MacBook Air around noon on the following Friday. The packaging was solid, with sturdy cardboard inserts at each corner.
I’m a happy customer.

Fast and quiet
I've been waiting for years to make the switch from PC to Mac, and I couldn't really resist Intel's Ivy Bridge processor in such a sweet package. The processor, together with OS X keep my MBP very responsive, even when I'm touching up multiple photos while browsing around online. Migrating my files from my old Lenovo laptop to my new MBP was also very easy, I was convinced that I'd somehow run into a problem during the process, but everything was smooth sailing.
I'm also glad that I got the 15.4-inch model, personally, it feels much more ergonomic for me than the smaller 13-inch model. Two of the best things about this laptop is that it has an illuminated keyboard and that it runs so quietly - means I can spend many late nights watching stuff on Netflix while my husband sleeps on.

Absolute best Macbook Pro available! Blazing fast processor, huge hard drive, perfect Anti-glare screen and great battery life. I chose the Anti-glare instead of the retina display because i do not game and i save over 700$ for same specs. Regular screened Macbook Pros can be upgraded to 16gbs of ram after initial purchase while the Retina ones must be purchased to this configuration. The I7 processor with 8m of cache is largest available in any manufacturing laptop sub 2,500$ easy choice! Best laptop you can buy for two grand easily nothing compares to Apple's quality in manufacturing and in store customer service!

Worth the upgrade
I wanted to upgrade from my 2nd generation MacBook Pro but I didn't particularly need the Retina Display, so I went with this 13.3" MacBook Pro instead. I've been using it everyday for business for about a month now and I'm really enjoying the speed and strength of the dual-core i5 processor. The various ports on the laptop also makes it incredibly easy to connect my hard drives to it. I also love that I can quickly connect a second monitor to this MacBook Pro, for those times when I just need more screen real estate. But I have to withhold a star for two things. The laptop's glossy display doesn't do very well under glare, so it's too reflective to use outdoors. This MacBook Pro also seems heavier than my previous laptop, so I can't really carry it around as much as I want to.

Wish I had bought one sooner
I had been toying with the idea of getting a MacBook Pro for about 15 months and eventually took the plunge. I am glad I did and I also wish I had done it sooner. This particular version matches my 2006 Mac Pro in terms of speed. The anti-glare screen is every bit as good as the monitor I use with the Mac Pro.
I work a lot on processing photographs and I do not find the smaller screen to be that much of a disadvantage and the portability of the MacBook Pro far outweighs the reduction in screen real estate. I am going to be on the move for the next few months and the MacBook Pro means I can work just as if I was at my Mac Pro.
In my opinion this MacBook Pro is better than those equipped with retina displays. Just think how much a 1TB flash drive would cost. It also comes equipped with a firewire port so I can hook up my external hard drives. It really does tick all the boxes for me. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and choice of model, which was attractively priced by the store. I would strongly recommend this model to anyone heavily into image processing and photography.

From a first-time Mac user
This is easily one of the best laptops I've ever used, if not the best. I was never a big fan of MacBooks until I started using this 15.4" MacBook Pro with Retina Display a couple of weeks ago. This MacBook's quad-core, i7 processor and 8 GB, 1600 MHz RAM capacities handle performance-intensive apps and software without any glitches. I can do five hours of photo and video editing without this MacBook Pro lagging.
Of course, the Retina Display is a dream for any laptop user (like me) who puts a premium on screen resolution and graphic quality. OS X Mountain Lion was surprisingly easy to use and intuitive, so I didn't encounter any problems getting used to Mac OS. I'd recommend this laptop to anyone making the switch from PC to Mac.

Macbook Pro 15.4" w/ Retina Display
Had a house full of Dell's, and had a terrible experience recently, and after buying both my daughters MacBook Pro's for school, decided to "upgrade" myself. Bought the high end machine with 16 GB RAM and largest SSD, and am happy to say this is by far and away the finest laptop I have ever owned (so far). Everything about it (portability, processor speed, ability to multi-task, etc.) has been amazing.
Even as a desktop replacement, don't miss the larger screen (have not set up a docking station yet) and love being able to take it anywhere in the house instead of being glued to my desk. This is an amazing machine and I highly recommend it. Price is a little stiff, but you get what you pay for. Expect to have this thing as my main home machine for a long time.
One challenge - I am a longtime "power user" of Quicken (for home), and I found the Mac OS version (Quicken Essentials) to be completely inadequate for our needs, so just installed Parallels 8 and went back to the PC version. Works seamlessly so far. Very impressive.

Great, solid machine
This machines is solid, the 16GB of RAM makes it soar through anything you throw at it. It shows even in booting up and shutting down. The Flash hard drive makes opening large files smooth and fast. It's awesome coming from a 7-year-old Core Duo MacBook. It may be a bit overkill for what I'm going to be using it for, but it's absolutely amazing. It will be nice to get back into photo editing as my old machine didn't handle it well at all.
If you're on the fence about getting so much RAM or the bigger hard drive, after reading other reviews- keep in mind that they're soldered on and not user replaceable. Made it a no-brainer for me.
The store also contacted me with free expedited shipping w/ Applecare purchase, something I was going to get anyway, so I got it the next day for free!

A Lovely Computer!
Bought this to replace my old MacBook, which finally ran out of gas after 7 good years. I have to say the transition to this new MacBook has been wonderful. The SSD makes it so fluid, responsive and fast, and the graphics just pop off that retina display. Beautiful stuff! And compared to my older MacBook this one feels like a MacBook Air! It's so light and compact it's really hard to believe it's a MacBook and not a MacBook Air. And this MacBook has a bigger hard drive and faster processor than the Air so I think it's well worth the bit of extra bulk you get with this model.
If there is any downside, I wish I could have afforded a bigger hard drive as I'm sure I'll fill up the 256GB I have before too long. It also would have been nice to have a DVD drive, but then again the one on my old MacBook stopped working about 4 years ago so I'm pretty used to not having one. Still, I am old school and like to burn CDs to listen to in the car rather than using the iPod in the car (which can be really dangerous!).
Despite the two minor complaints, overall I am extremely happy with this computer. Highest recommendation!!!

MacBook Pro: Great Product!
Have just switched to Mac from Windows at my home. Used to be a Mac user back in the day but switched to PC years ago to be compatible with my corporate computing environment. Now that I am retired I am switching back to Mac based on experiences of trusted friends.
So far there have been no significant problems. I am running Windows 7 using Parallels so I can use Quicken and some stock market analysis programs that run only on Windows, but for everything else I am using Mac software. It took me a little while to get used to the differences between Windows and Mac, but nothing to complain about. I moved files from the PC to the Mac manually using a flash USB drive to be sure all of my files ended up in the right places.
The Mac is pretty fast and so far I have not had any problems that I could not solve on my own. I love the big screen and the zoom feature of trackpad. I definitely recommend this product!

MacBook Pro + Retina: The best Mac ever
The 2012 MacBook Pro is the best Mac I have ever seen and used. The exterior looks sharp and solid. Nothing much has really changed externally. It’s the same unibody design with the backlit keyboards and island-style keys. The CD slot has been dropped like in the MacBook Air. What’s changed is that the new MacBook Pro with Retina display is thinner and lighter than the previous generation of MBP.
Inside is where much of the upgrade happened. First, the graphics. I absolutely love it. The Retina display produces vibrant images on the entire 15-inch screen real estate. It’s wonderful to watch. I truly enjoy watching HD movies. You get to appreciate the screen more if you work on photos and movies, which I do by the way. The new MacBook Pro with Retina gives my profession a very nice and powerful tool.
As for processing power, the machine is by far the best that I have ever seen. Quad-core i7, all-flash, HD Graphics 4000. You couldn’t have asked for a better notebook. It’s fast and responsive. Even with the Lion OS, which has not been developed with the new MacBook Pro in mind, the notebook works seamlessly. I’m now excited waiting for Mountain Lion and see what it has to offer in unlocking the potential of the new MBP.

2012 MBP with Retina Display: Another Masterpiece
This is by far the best work from Apple yet, hands down. The screen is brilliant, its shockingly powerful for a laptop, especially given I'm a Business user that runs 20-30 resource intensive apps and a windows VM at once.
The design and form is fantastic, very sleek and even keeps trim enough to resemble its slimmer brother the Macbook Air.
In the retina version of the pro, the superdrive is gone. But given that CDs are literally dying out and the cost of flash storage is cheap there’s not a lot to complain about. If you "had" to make CDs you can always get an external USB drive to fit the occasion, or you could not do your research, buy one, be mad and badmouth apple.
I am extremely happy with this. CD's are dying, Apple is embracing that. Good job on another outstanding product.

Pleased with MacBook Air 11 inch
; I finally upgraded from my 5-year-old Core Duo MacBook, so it was inevitable that I'd be impressed with this new Apple hardware. My favorite features in no particular order:
1."Instant" on/ wake from sleep. Never more than 6-8 seconds
2. Nice resolution for a 13" screen
3. Very low battery drain while in sleep mode
4. Battery life. 7 hours may be a stretch, but easily getting 5-6 hours of casual use out of each charge
5. Backlit keyboard is a killer feature
6. Saving north of $100 between sales tax and Apple Insider affiliate link.
The only negative I can report is that when I first received my MacBook Air, there seemed to be uneven brightness in backlight along the bottom edge of the screen. It's either gone away or I don't notice anymore.

One Fine MacBook Air
This is the ultimate ultraportable. If you need a lightweight computer with a full-featured OS and and long battery life, this is the MacBook Air to get. It is so convenient to use away from your usual desk. In my case I use it in our school library and in cafes sometimes and it feels very right. I just get it out of the sleeves and that's it. The experience has been so much better with my older PowerBook where I needed to lug around a mouse and a charger.
Performance-wise, I'm impressed. I see what Apple has done in new generations of iPod touch, iPhone and iPad. The speed of the MacBook Air is of the same class as those idevices. And to think that the MacBook Air has a desktop-grade OS!
Also, very nice to see backlit keyboards make its way back to the 2011 MacBook Air. That's what I've been waiting for before I upgrade from a PowerBook to a MacBook Air. Thankfully it has returned.
As for the price, I can't say that the Air is cheap. But the price is definitely well worth the performance, convenience, and possibilities that the MacBook Air could offer IMO.
