This thin and light MacBook also comes with terraced battery and fan-less architecture backed up with low-power consumption Intel Core M processor. The connectivity options for the MacBook have also been improved. It features a USB-C port. The USB-C port allows you to easily charge your laptop as well as sync it with your devices. It can also connect to external hard drives for when you want to back up your data or want to access some of your other files. Additionally, it's also much thinner and lighter as compared to the MacBook Air although it carries the design of the first generation MacBook. The new 12-inch MacBook is a perfect blend of both Retina MacBook Pro and MacBook Air along with black bezel. The speaker, keyboard and 3.5mm headphone port are also designed to complement its sleek design. The 12-inch MacBook also features trackpad with Force Touch functionality that comes with built-in pressure sensor. This trackpad can even register a press on any position of the track pad so you can click on any portion. This adds a whole new level of experience on using apps and features of latest macOS. The Retina Display on the new MacBook gives the system a fresh look. It gives users the chance to see pictures in perfect detail like never before. What's more, this MacBook is also equipped with built in 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 along with 41.4-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery that provides 10 hours more browsing, up to 12 hours iTunes movie playback, and up to 30 days of standby time than the previous model. All in all, the new 12-inch MacBook with Retina display makes it a worthy buy. So, if you are one of those who have the knack for opting latest and innovative gadgets, then this MacBook is a great pick. Own one today! Get yours right here at MacMall. Order now!
Our first MacBook computer was getting ready to give up the ghost so I contacted my son-in-law since he is my IT guy. He suggested MacMall and he was correct. The specialist I worked with was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. If friends or family ask I will tell them of my positive experience with MacMall.
I love its beautiful design, high quality display, battery, large trackpad, and powerful software. Plus, it is very portable so I can check on my emails, browse the net, organize my schedule, and manage some work-related tasks even when I am on the go. I am just a bit challenged because the MacBook lacks the traditional USB ports. I guess they are just trying to level up their design with regards the future of mobile computing. I’ll just have to buy a USB-C type converter so I can still connect my external drives.
In my opinion, for someone who travels and doesn't need to do heavy duty computing, this machine really is the best mobile laptop you can get.
Today I was migrating from my Air to the MacBook. Sitting next to each other the Air looked like a Leviathan.
The New MacBook strikes me as a very “precisely” designed device. Tolerances are tighter and the display is ridiculous. The retina display really makes a difference coming from the MacBook Air. The speaker grill above the keyboard has 2,442 precisely laser drilled holes by my count. Who does that?!?!? No one but Apple. The sound is actually quite good for a laptop. Due to the faster SSD and 8GB of RAM the slower processor really doesn’t factor in. It seems faster than my 3 year old MacBook Air. And from a user perspective, it probably is. I haven’t had a chance to evaluate battery life yet but if I can get 8 hours out of it I’ll be a happy camper. Keyboard is “different” but not that hard to get used to. Key travel is very small but “precise” just like everything else on this computer. The haptic trackpad really works. You’d swear that it really “clicks” what you press it. USB-C means you need to use some adapter cables but there are some great Kickstarters that supply a whole “docking” solution for the MacBook. Size, weight, capability, speed, display, trackpad. This really is pretty much a perfect travel or around the house computer.
I do most of my computing on an iMac 27" when at home. Only wanted a laptop when traveling. This unit is now my to go unit. The display is fantastic, the speed is unbelievable, but the cost is extremely high. MacMall did accomplish an extremely low discount, but it was for an item that was unavailable. I'm sure the discount will increase within the next several months. However, I wanted it now and the features are unbelievable! The track pad is truly superior to my iMac track pad. All attributes are there for an Apple product, but when traveling 2 lb., 3/8" thick, allows me to store in my carry on with no questions asked. MacMall always satisfies your needs, service, and their support is amazing, but, always a but, PLEASE have iCase design a sleeve exclusively for this unit! See you soon for any Apple products. You're the best! Gerald p.s. forgot to tell you, I'm 76 yrs. old and hard to please.
I upgraded from a 5-year-old 17" MacBook pro. I was worried about losing so much display space, but the retina display is gorgeous and totally worth it. I wind up having to tab between applications more than I did on my old machine, but the form factor is totally worth it. I was expecting to have more performance concerns with this computer, but for my web development (including heavy DB work with a number of server-side processes), I've gotten totally acceptable performance, even when running virtual machines. Very happy I went with this system.
That said, I haven't tried any of my audio software yet, and that will be telling.
Do plan on spending a bunch of money on USB-C dongles, because, well, yeah the one port thing is a little bit of a pain in the pants. Totally worth it for the form factor, but just realize you'll need to make some additional purchases.
I have had a MacBook Air for the last few years. I have upgraded the models along the way as they have increased storage capacity and processor speeds. When they announced this model, I was in awe of the design and features. There was one drawback, though, and that is the fact of only having one port. This just means more dongles and adapters. Also, I have a Thunderbolt display at work, and there is no solution to hook the computer up to it, yet. I figure I will just use my old MacBook air since my email accounts are Exchange or IMAP.
With all of that said, I love this computer. I was a little worried reading reviews of people saying that it was more of an in between computer in terms of the processor. They said that it was more of an iPad. I have found that it is more responsive than my MacBook Air, and the screen is so much better. I am very happy. I just hope Apple makes an adapter for the Thunderbolt Display.
The compromises that made this machine possible have not been issues for me (USB port, keyboard, M-processor). The screen is so much better than my previous Macbook Air and it only took a couple days to get use to the keyboard which I now prefer because the keys don't rock. The system does stutter occasionally but I have confidence that most of this will be resolved by El Capitan. Honestly, my Air stuttered too on occasion. One simple USB 3.1 to USB 3.0 adapter takes care of most of my connectivity needs since I don't use an external monitor. Most of my file transfers are done using an external drive connected to an Airport. With the great screen and light weight I find that I don't use my iPad nearly as much.
This new MacBook is outstanding! I have had iPhones and iPads for some time but have still worked on PCs and wanted to finally make the transition. I travel a lot and this is the perfect size computer. I previously had an 11 inch laptop and that was just a bit too small.
The new keyboard on the MacBook works really well. The functionality is superb; no longer do you need to hammer on the keys or worry about hitting the wrong key with your nails (mine are long). The display is beautiful and the screen is big enough that I no longer use my desktop computer at all. This is my main computer now.
As always with Apple, everything syncs seamlessly and the processor is definitely fast enough for my needs.
Since I knew about the newest thing Apple has, I really, really wanted to get myself one. It’s like having this classic laptop that has been reinvented to be able to keep up with the demands of the world that we are in this generation. It’s thin, stylish, and very compact but has a lot of functionalities. This laptop is my eye-candy and would be of great benefit to me if I choose to grab one. MacMall has been my one stop online store, well almost a year ago. I bought some Apple accessories for my devices and I am impressed with the quality of service that they are offering. So, I decided to give them a call again and get my own laptop. The good thing in MacMall is that, they already have the devices the Apple devices on stock even if most of them have just been launched. I guess that’s one of their edges in the other online stores out there. And yes, my MacMall is already here. Very comfty to use, elegant and ain’t got issues. Superb!!! And the fact that this one is very light I could bring this anywhere, even in my out of town travels.
The New MacBook is the thinnest MacBook yet, but it's packed with advanced capabilities and features that Mac enthusiasts will definitely appreciate.
Take your work on the go!
The new MacBook is paper thin at only 13.2 mm combined with an overall weight of only 2 pounds. This makes the new MacBook perfect for working outside the office without having to take all that extra weight with you. What's more, the sleek metal finish available in Gold, Silver and Rose Gold is sure to make you the envy of everyone..
Powerful Processors and more
Just because the MacBook comes with a thin enclosure doesn't mean that the features are anything less. In fact, the MacBook is powered by a dual-core Intel Core m5 processor that has speeds of up to 3.6GHz via Turbo Boost technology. Helping your processor along is 8GB-16GB DDR3 RAM; which ensures that even the most draining apps and software are launched successfully with no lags.
Make your work a lot more enjoyable
The main input method of any laptop is by typing. The MacBook is equipped with full-sized keyboard with butterfly mechanism under each key, to provide you better precision when typing. What's more, the large glass trackpad makes navigating through your MacBook a lot easier. It comes with built-in pressure sensing capability, precision tracking and Multi-Touch gesture support.
Now you can connect different cables into one port with the MacBook's integrated USB-C port. This is the only port you will need to charge, sync and connect external devices to the MacBook. Connectivity is now a lot easier and more organized.
A computer or laptop is nothing without the internet. Luckily, the new MacBook connects to your Wi-Fi fast with 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. This makes wireless connections faster, allowing you to get started on your work.
