Excellent. Overall this is a good deal for an iPod nano

A music player, a watch, a photo viewer, all in one device! The nano is made even sweeter with the deal I got from MacMall. I got it from a promo they had last BF and it’s considerably cheaper from the Apple price.

This being my first time to buy from MacMall, I browsed through their site and confirmed from their customer service that the iPod nano, as with all the Apple products they have, comes with full warranty and return rights. I was sold. It’s a no-brainer that I should buy from here.

The nano comes on time as promised. It has the engraving I asked and it was followed nicely. I got a pink one and I love it. Now, the husband wants a nano, too. A blue one. He ordered one a couple of days ago, without the BF deal though.

As for the device, it’s what you would expect from Apple: well-designed, intuitive, although a bit on the high price point. It’s definitely worth every dollar because I found that I’m using it most of the time. I use it on my commute, play it from the old dock we have in the house, and even carry it as keychain to bring family photos.

Love the iPod Nano!

Best with a wrist strap. It could easily replace the casual watch you use. The iPod nano has been for me more than just a media player. I just wish, though, that there would be more wrist straps choices from 3rd party manufacturers.

The pedometer function is nice, and so is the Nike+ support. It allows me to track my runs very conveniently because instead of carrying separate devices for watch, music player, and sports kit, I could just bring the nano in my daily runs.

Another thing that would be nice to see on the iPod nano is more apps. It would have been nice if Apple could somehow fit a GPS, altimeter, compass of the nano. That would make it a truly viable replacement to a watch.

Lastly, if you will get one of these, get rid of the photo playback. It just takes up space because, really, you wouldn’t want to see your pictures on a very tiny screen. The space would have been better allotted to your tunes.

Excellent iPod, small but spacious

For a media player this small, the iPod nano and all 16GB of its digital space is an excellent iPod. It covers my entire music library. I could just copy my songs to the nano and avoid syncing the iPod every now and then.

It is really convenient because I try to avoid syncing like a plague. I used to have an iPhone 3G with 8GB of storage. After the apps, photos and music videos, it leaves me with 3GB or so for music, which is very small so I ended up syncing the phone every week. That shows you how iPhone is really not for music. So I got a nano so I can have a dedicated device to play tunes.

Aside from the big 16GB space, some features of the nano help to make it an excellent music player. An example is the Playlist and Genius Mixes. It’s pretty simple but brilliant. You create a playlist on the device itself, either by choosing one song after another or have Genius recommend songs for you based on your preference.

Also, the VoiceOver feature is nice. The iPod nano has a multitouch screen that show the art cover and music info while a song is playing. Via VoiceOver, you just have to press the little button at the top of the device and be told about the song title and artist. That’s really neat!

A new iPad nano.

Multi-Touch. And multi-talented.

Small and sleek, iPod nano clips on anywhere and goes everywhere. Its Multi-Touch screen has larger icons and is even easier to use. Built-in fitness features help keep you fit by tracking your workouts while keeping you motivated with each step. Eighteen clock face designs make it easy to turn your iPod nano into a wristwatch that matches your mood. And a built-in FM tuner with Live Pause, along with Genius Mixes and playlists, ensures that your music is always fresh.
