New features such as AirPlay and Video Mirroring, among others, were also introduced along with the iPad 2.

I love my iPad 2 3G

I am a retired 71 year old female. I had the original Pad with wi-fi, I just upgraded to the iPad 2 with 3G. I have a new 21 inch iMac and a new 15 inch MacBook Pro, all bought from MacMall.

I really like the speed the iPad connects to the internet. I do not have to wait for the computer to start up, the iPad connects instantly. The photos are not the same as an expensive camera but I can take a quick picture and email it immediately and the photos are good, some are very good! The ones of the twin baby deer in the front yard are just precious.

When I am in the car I can get a map instantly or find a store or restaurant in the area, I can check the weather, I can check my e-mail, answer an e-mail or write a letter and it will be printed out when I get home, I can play a game, I can read a book, I can play my music, I can read a recipe and make a list of ingredients I need from the grocery store, I can watch a movie, I can do so many things with my iPad in my purse.

Yes I have a smart phone, but it is so much easier to read the large print and I don't have any of those annoying phone calls to contend with. I can read in bed or play a game (with the sound off) without bothering my husband’s sleep and, unlike a laptop, it is very lightweight to use.

I have always liked gadgets and new inventions like my electric typewriter 40 years ago and my first Apple computer20 years ago but I don't know how they are going to top this nifty little machine.

Excellent product

I use the iPad principally for Web browsing, email, newspaper, and eBook reading. The retina display is spectacular -- every bit as good as a paper book, allowing one to read for many hours without difficulty. Photographs rival hard copy prints in clarity and color saturation. I prefer the lighted screen that adjusts its brightness to a passive LCD display because I use the iPad mostly in conditions that are not in bright sunlight.

The navigation tools are also extremely useful. It is packed with genuinely useful apps and offers a virtually limitless variety of downloadable apps. I use this device more than I use my desktop computer because it is always instantly on, portable, and very easy to use.

iPad 2 64 GB Wi-Fi Black

Great product, lightweight and super compact. Processor speed may be slower than iPad 3, but I can’t tell the difference. And the camera on iPad 3 is better, but I don’t use the camera since I have a Canon PowerShot 20 megapixel, not to mention a cell phone with 8 megapixel. Besides, it’s cumbersome to use the iPad as a camera. I feel it to be a bit large for that. As for the iPad screen, it’s definitely better on the iPad 3. But the screen on the iPad 2 is no slouch, so I’m really happy with the product, not to mention the great deal I got from this store. Big Big Big Savings! A lot of extras too, ie. 6 mos same as cash, free Fed-Ex overnight shipping, free engraving, and $20.00 off the already low price of $547.00 and the Great Service from this store, What a Deal!!!!!

Apple iPad 3 Wifi 64GB

This is an excellent tablet. I was waiting on Android to get it together. A little bit afraid to take the Apple plunge since Windows and Android were the only two I have used. After finally deciding and going with the 64GB Wifi model, I have to say I love it. Little bit different thinking on some things, but the iPad 3 is fast, the screen is gorgeous, and the battery life is excellent. I usually carry several movies, games and my music when I travel or even just around the house. I am very pleased with the choice I made and this is a great product.

iPad2 review

Only had it for a little over a week. Still new to Apple so a bit of a learning curve after years of PC use. I really like my iPad so far. I wish it had a SB Card slot and a USB card slot but I plan to buy the adapter kit. Battery life is good. I need to read up on the tips and tricks for switching from PC TO Mac. I've been too busy using it to read up on how to use it. Give me a couple months and I will be a power user and then I can give you a better review. Apple products are definitely pricier than PC stuff but very innovative and user friendly. Have yet to have a program crash. I have no idea if I have any viruses or malware but it seems to be running fine. Both my iPad and my iMac are very fast as compared to my PCs. So far I am glad I made the switch.

Apple New iPad with Wi-Fi 32GB - Black (3rd generation) (MC706LL/A)

What is the best app to use when creating presentations on the iPad?

Asked By Mike Peek | Apr 22, 2012
Best Answer
Keynote. It is available at the Apple App Store for $9.99. I’ve never been a Mac user before the iPad, but I must say that I got to like Keynote immediately after buying it from the App Store. It is really easy to use. I have it on my iPad as well as on my iPhone. It is synced between the two devices via iCloud. Sometimes when I need to do a last-minute edit on my presentation, I could do it on the small screen of the iPhone with relative ease. The Keynote is that easy to use, that even though you have small scree real estate to work with you can work with your presentation. There are other apps, as well, like the DocumentsToGo suite. But my money is on Apple. Who better write apps than the company that created the device.

Why buy an iPad vs. MacBook?

Asked By Paul B. Carmichael | Apr 11, 2012
Best Answer
Best Answer: It’s more of a “what works for you” sort of thing. I got the iPad because I wanted the form factor. It is light and easy to carry, but it can do a lot of thing. Definitely not all that a MacBook can do, but the iPad does enough to make me consider it as a second device. I needed a second device, next to my iMac, to check my emails, surf the Web and other light computing tasks. A MacBook Air would, of course, cut it for me. But I figured I could do all those stuff more conveniently using an iPad. The battery life of the iPad, which is longer than MacBooks, is also a factor. It gives me almost an all-day computing that I rarely got to use my iMac nowadays.

Does the new iPad take as good pictures as the iPhone 4s?

Asked By Jeremy Hill | May 2, 2012
Best Answer
I would have been happy if Apple just used the iPad 2 camera specs on the new iPad. It is unlikely that I would need to snap a shot using an iPad anyway. But Apple improved the iPad 2 camera on the new iPad, probably to generate more sales. And it is a huge improvement, as far as I can tell. Between the new iPad and the iPhone 4S, though, the iPhone 4S camera is still better. They both have iSight, but the new iPad has 5MP whereas the iPhone 4S’s has 8MP. Photos from the new iPad, using the rear camera, does not quite match the contrast and saturation quality of iPhone 4S photos.

Can I transfer files from my old iPad to my new iPad?

Asked By Michael Lee | May 3, 2012
Best Answer
You have a few options. You can create a backup of your old iPad settings and then sync it with your new iPad via iTunes. Or you can do it wirelessly and let iCloud do the transfer for you. However, the second option will only let you sync files on authorized programs such as Pages, Numbers, iPod, Movies, Contacts, etc. If you use a different program, say GoodPlayer for movies, it may not be supported by iCloud and you can’t expect it to transfer your files. Your best option would be to create a backup and then sync it on your new iPad.

Should I upgrade my iPad 1 to the new one?

Asked By Bill Rudess | May 12, 2012
Best Answer
I love the new iPad. Maybe you will, too. So far, the new iPad has been one of my best tech purchases. I came from the iPad 2 and I’m glad I upgraded. The new iPad is faster and more graphics-friendly. A lot has changed since the iPad 1. Also, if you’re a heavy apps user and have invested on a lot of them, it would be nice to still have the future versions of your apps. They would only get more processor-intensive and a time would come when they might not be updateable on your iPad 1 because of processor requirements.
