Volume Licensing Program Overview
 
Business Objects

Business Objects is a flexible volume licensing program that offers your customers the opportunity to purchase the Business Objects products and services they need with volume-based discounts. Purchases are tracked using a product-based point system, and are cumulative on a rolling, two-year (eight-quarter) basis. The more points your customers accumulate, the greater the discount they will receive.

 
Program Details
 
  • Initial order requires only 75 points
  • Reorders require a minimum of 15 points
  • No contracts or purchase commitments
  • Larger discounts on subsequent purchases as customers reach higher point levels.
  • One agreement number per organization.
  • Shipping to multiple locations.
Ordering
New Business Objects Customer
 
  • To qualify for the program, the initial order must total a minimum of 75 points.
  • Ensure that all customer information (i.e., name, address, phone, fax, e-mail etc.) is complete on your purchase order.
  • Business Objects will generate a unique agreement number and license certificate. The agreement number tracks subsequent purchases, and companies may elect to have their subsidiaries or affiliates set up under the same agreement number to generate a larger volume discount level.
  • Product is delivered directly to the end user via UPS within two days of Business Objects' receipt of the order.
  • The end users will receive a welcome kit that includes installation instructions, license information and one copy of the software with online manuals. They will also receive a Dimensions license certificate that quotes their agreement number, customer number, product purchase, product activation code and number of licenses.
Current Business Objects Customer
 
  • All reorders require a minimum of 15 points.
  • The customer quotes the agreement number. The points associated with this number will determine the level of discount that the customer receives.
  • Product is delivered directly to the end user via UPS within two days of Business Objects' receipt of the order.
  • The end user will receive a Dimensions License Certificate that quotes the agreement number, customer number, product purchase, product activation code and number of licenses.
