> AirPort Extreme
AirPort Extreme is one of the most advanced Apple wireless base stations yet. Thanks to 802.11ac WiFi capabilities and a beamforming antenna array, the Apple AirPort Extreme base station ensures high-speed wireless Internet connections and stronger, smarter WiFi signals for WiFi-enabled devices.

The newest AirPort Extreme base stations are designed for speed, capable of supporting the most recently developed 802.11ac WiFi standard. This advanced WiFi technology promises data rates of up to 1.3 Gbps, resulting in wireless Internet connections that are thrice the speed of connections possible in the previous 802.11n standard. In addition to this technology, AirPort Extreme features an intelligent beamforming antenna array that helps users with 802.11ac-capable devices make the most of AirPort Extreme’s high-speed connections. With all these cutting-edge features, it’s easy to see how the Apple AirPort Extreme base station ensures fast, stable Internet connections. Like all Apple WiFi base stations, AirPort Extreme is also easy to set up, thanks to a built-in setup assistant on iOS and OS X’s AirPort Utility.

AirPort Extreme also provides many other connectivity opportunities. This base station’s rear panel also features four Ethernet ports, 3 LAN ports and 1 WAN port, port to facilitate wired Internet connections. Hard drive sharing over the AirPort Extreme’s network is also possible by connecting a hard drive to the base station’s USB port. If you’re looking to add an AirPort Extreme base station to your home network, look no further than MacMall. Our catalog features a full selection of Apple base stations and accessories.

AirPort Extreme
Smarter WiFi signals and faster Internet connections

The newest AirPort Extreme base stations are not only sleeker and slimmer but also faster and more efficient. These base stations are built to support the 802.11ac WiFi standard, the most recently developed wireless networking standard that triples the data rate of the previous 802.11n standard, making for speedier network connections and optimizing bandwidth rates.

All-new design
Sixth-generation AirPort Extreme base stations have been redesigned as slim towers that are just over half a foot tall. This tower design allows for the placement of six antennas at the top of the base station, making for stronger WiFi signals that have a wider range.

Advanced WiFi technology
AirPort Extreme features three-stream 802.11ac wireless networking technology; this WiFi standard improves the data rate and throughput of the previous standard by up to three times. Enhanced channel bandwidth also contributes to faster network speeds. Through beamforming technology in the Apple AirPort Extreme, WiFi signals are also more directly targeted at devices that support 802.11ac WiFi, allowing users to maximize the high-speed connection.

Guest network setup
Use AirPort Extreme to set up a network specifically for guests to your home. A guest network can be unprotected or password-protected and provides access only to the Internet. That way, you don’t have to worry about the security of your primary network, including your printer and any LAN devices.

Printer and hard drive sharing
The back panel of the AirPort Extreme base station features a handful of I/O ports, including a USB 2.0 port that can be used to connect external hard drives and printers to the base station. Files on connected hard drives become available to devices on the AirPort Extreme’s network, while printers connected to an AirPort Extreme base station can receive printing jobs from anyone on the same network.
